According to Corruption Perceptions Index 2018 published by an international Non Governmental organization Transparency International ranks Denmark as the least corrupt country in the world while Somalia was ranked as most corrupt country in the world. India improved its score from 40 to 41 and was ranked on 78 th spot in Corruption Perceptions Index 2018.

The Corruption Perceptions Index 2018 ranks 180 countries on the basis of their public sector corruption. Using a scale of 0 to 100 where 0 indicates country as highly corrupt and 100 indicates country is very clean. The report reveals that more than two third countries score below 50 with an average score of 43. It should also be noted that till date no country in the world is free from corruption. Top countries also have less amount of corruption.
