Indian Army on Thursday eliminated six terrorists including a top JeM commander in Jammu and Kashmir. After receiving credible inputs from intelligence Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a search operation in Dalipora area and eliminated three JeM terrorists. Of three JeM terrorists killed one was top JeM commander and other two Naseer Pandit and Umar Mir were local terrorists. The top JeM commander was identified as Pakistani national Khalid bhai who was mastermind of 2017 CRPF attack in Lethpora in which five troopers were killed.

In another major search operation launched by Rashtriya rifles and Special Operation group of state police in Handew village of Shopian district three more terrorist were eliminated. The operation was carried out by Rashtriya rifles and Special Operation group of state police after receiving information about the presence of terrorists. Another operation was carried out by Indian Army in Kandi forest of Kupwara district. A shootout took place between Indian Army and terrorists but till now there was no report of any casualty.
