Due to its success in Balakot air strikes by destroying Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camps in Pakistan, Indian Air Force is now planning to buy advanced version of Spice-2000 bombs. The Spice-2000 bombs were not capable of destroying buildings. They were capable of making hole with their weight in the buildings and then used to blasts with the help of 70-80 kg explosives. So to destroy buildings Indian Air Force has decided to buy bunker buster which is advanced version of Spice-2000 bombs and with Mark 84 warhead has capability to destroy buildings.
The procurement of bunker buster will be soon done by Indian Air Force through it emergency powers. The emergency powers refers to free hand given to Indian Armed Forces for buying any equipment worth up to Rs 300 crore. Under this emergency powers Indian Army has decided to buy spike anti tank guided missiles which are designed and developed by Israeli company Rafael advanced defence system. The Spice-2000 bombs are also designed and developed by Israeli company Rafael advanced defence system.
