Umpires and match referees for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 announced

The officials will be an important part of the big tournament. Umpiring is a crucial part of the game. ICC has finalized 16 umpires and 6 match referees from around the world for the 48 match tournament. All the umpires have been part of world cup winning teams and holds a good record.

Officials for the first match between England and South Africa at the Oval have been decided. David Boon as a match referee, accompanied by Kumar Dharmasena and Bruce Oxenford as the on field umpires. Third umpire and fourth official are Paul Reiffel and Joe Wilson respectively. Ian Gould will be last seen umpiring as he announced his retirement after this world cup. His career consists of 74 Tests, 135 ODIs and 37 T20Is as a official.
